Our Story
Who We Are
From Battlefield to Bedside: A New Standard in Care Begins Here
There are few professions that demand more resilience, discipline, and heart than serving in the British Army and even fewer that require the same when the uniform comes off. But for Sophia Devine, founder of Devine Inspired Care & Temporary Recruitment Agency (DICTRA), her story is only just beginning.
After a distinguished 24-year career as a military nurse, serving with the Queen Alexandra’s Royal Army Nursing Corps (QARANC), Sophia is now embarking on a bold and meaningful new chapter: transforming the standards of health and social care in local communities across the UK.Throughout her military career, Sophia delivered expert clinical care under some of the most demanding conditions imaginable from war zones to field hospitals. Her work spanned continents, but one thing remained constant: a relentless dedication to serving others with integrity, empathy, and excellence.
Now, she brings that same commitment home.
DICTRA isn’t just another care agency. It’s a mission. A movement. A promise.
Drawing from decades of hands-on experience, Sophia founded DICTRA with a clear vision:
To create a pioneering, compassionate, and values driven care service that blends military grade professionalism with deep, human-centred support for those who need it most. At its core, DICTRA is guided by the belief that care is more than a checklist. It’s about dignity, consistency, and trust. Every carer and nurse who joins the team is carefully selected not just for their qualifications, but for their character, compassion, and shared dedication to excellence. The result is a care experience that feels deeply personal, yet reliably professional.
“This is not just business it’s a legacy,” Sophia often says.
“It’s about turning decades of duty into daily impact for families, for individuals, and for communities.”
Whether it’s supporting elderly individuals in their own homes, offering complex care, or supplying skilled healthcare professionals to care homes and rehab facilities, DICTRA stands apart for its precision, reliability, and warmth. This venture is also a tribute to every veteran, every patient, every family Sophia has served along the way. It’s a salute to those who deserve not just care, but the very best of it.
Why choose DICTRA?
Because when military values meet compassionate care, the result is a service you can trust without reservation. Join the journey. Be part of a care revolution led by a woman whose life has been defined by service, sharpened by experience, and now, inspired by purpose.
